Gail Deal Revealed at Party with Friends and Family
After evaluating hundreds of applications from a wide field of candidates, Gail Deal, a kindergarten teacher from Greensboro was selected as the winner of Ultimate Makeover Triad.
Gail received cosmetic surgery procedures from the Patseavouras Center for Plastic and Laser Surgery, cosmetic dental treatments from the Kraska Center for Cosmetic and General Dentistry; personal fitness and nutrition consulting from Triad Fitness, LLC and hair design and make-up application from Chakras Spa.
It had been just over three months since Gail was selected as the winner and on October 8 anxious friends and family gathered at Chakras Spa in Greensboro for the reveal celebration.
Dr. Louie Patseavouras of the Patseavouras Center for Plastic and Laser Surgery performed surgical procedures to give Gail a more youthful appearance. An endoscopic brow lift was performed to give a more refreshed look above the eyes and a lower lid blepharoplasty was performed to rejuvenate and improve the appearance below the eyes. Gail also received a face and neck lift to tighten the skin and a chemical peel of the lower lids and to improve the fine lines of the lower eyelid. Nasal Surgery was performed to perfect her nose and chin augmentation was used to improve her weak chin and balance her facial structure. '
Dr. Patseavouras also used Juvederm, a smooth gel filler to instantly smooth the "parentheses" lines on the sides of Gail's nose and mouth and to enhance her lips.
Gail received cosmetic dentistry treatments to restore her teeth back to a youthful, more natural appearance from Dr. Jan C. Kraska and Dr. Ryan Kraska of the Kraska Center for Cosmetic and General Densitry. Bonding was placed on her top six front teeth. It was placed on the front surfaces and also wrapped around on the biting edges. This restored length and repaired chipped/worn edges from grinding and excessive wear. Bonding was also placed on the lower teeth which were also very worn down. The bonding provided cosmetic enhancement but also protected her teeth from future damage when chewing. A custom bitesplint was also made that Gail will wear nightly to prevent damage to the work that has been completed and prevent future TMJ issues.
Gail also received ZOOM! Advanced Whitening . Her teeth were stained after years of drinking caffein and she wanted to make them whiter and brighter. Zoom! is a safe, effective and fast chair-side bleaching process that lightens the discoloration of the enamel and dentin. Gail's teeth were whitened almost eight shades lighter in about an hour.
Gail lost over 15 pounds in 8 weeks by working with in-home ACE certified personal trainer Tracy Johnson, owner of Triad Fitness, LLC. Tracy created an individualized fitness and nutrition program for Gail that included cardio and strength training routine to increase her muscle tone, cardio respiratory endurance and overall fitness level.
According to Tracy, "Gail was highly dedicated and consistent with her fitness routine and improvement of her dietary." Gail was instructed to cut out highly processed foods like sweets and white flour and replace these items with natural sweets like peaches and whole grain foods.
Her bi-weekly workouts with Tracy included 30 minutes of cardio like a fast paced power walk in her neighborhood to increase her cardiovascular endurance and a 30 minute full body strength training session in her home. The focus of the workouts was on each major muscle group to improve strength, increase metabolism, as well as tone and shape muscles. Gail used free weights, exercise balls, ankle weights and body resistance exercises.
"Gail worked very hard and was highly committed to her weight loss goals, " adds Tracy, "She achieved her weight loss goal and I know she will continue with her healthy lifestyle."
Chakras internationally trained hair stylist J. Bullock and make-up artist Teri Church added the final touches to Gail's makeover.
The base tones of Gail's hair color were shifted from cool to warm to enhance her eye color and complexion. The color level was lifted higher to brighten her overall appearance. The cut was tapered around the ears and neck to focus attention on Gail's face and texture was added for modernized volume.
Terri used Chakras' exclusive line of Aurora Lustre mineral make-up to give Gail a youthful glow. Warm, bronze shadows were applied to contrast her green eyes and a soft warm pink was used to color her cheeks. Terri chose a colorful, but natural lip gloss. Gail's eyes were shaped and defined with a brow shadow.
Gail finally appeared and the group could not believe her dramatic transformation. "It was incredible to see the combined results of this gifted team of doctors and makeover specialists", remarked her husband Jim.
